Support during Covid19 2nd Wave November 2020
We would like to share with you, information and contact details on support that is available for our residents during the 2nd wave of Covid 19.
National information
Residents who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable, are advised to register on the NSSS website: https://coronavirus-shielding-support.service.gov.uk/applying-on-own-behalf
This will allow residents who are CEV to
- get access to priority supermarket deliveries
- ask for someone to contact you about any local support that’s available
- update your details - for example, your address
NHS Volunteers can be contacted by residents directly by calling Tel. 0808 196 3646, more information is available on https://nhsvolunteerresponders.org.uk/referral
Clinicians can also use the NHS Volunteer Responder team.
You can also make a referral using the GoodSAM App or by going to https://www.goodsamapp.org/NHSreferral

For any residents needing support due to self isolating or who are clinically extremely vulnerable, they can make a self referral via the website https://apps.wigan.gov.uk/covid19/selfisolationassistance or by calling 01942 489018.
Wigan Council can offer support with welfare issues, shopping assistance, supermarket slots, prescription deliveries, wellbeing calls, and community support.
