Community Midwives

Midwives provide care for pregnant and newly delivered women both at home and at the antenatal clinic.

Antenatal clinic is held on Fridays between 10am-12noon at the surgery.

Community Nurses

District Nurses visit patients who have been referred by the doctor or hospital and who have a nursing need in their own homes.  Additionally they hold a surgery in the health centre for on-going care.

School Nurses

Work with families and school age children to improve health and social circumstances.  School nurses provide a useful link between the family, school and healthcare.  Children can access them through the schools.

Health Visitors

Health visitors work with families with young children to improve their health and social circumstances.   The Well Baby Clinics are held on Tuesday at The Grange Children's Centre, Highfield Grange Avenue between 9.30-11.30am and Thursdays at Community Reception, Upper Ground Floor, Worsley Mesnes Health Centre, Poolstock Lane between 1.30pm-5pm.
